Background: Handedness is dominance of either your right or left hand over the other, which means that generally one hand is better at motor skills than the other. It involves the coordination of large muscles carrying out smooth motions, such as throwing a ball. These actions use many neurons, and require concentration. The left side of the brain controls the right hand,and the right side of the brain controls the left hand. It is mostly unknown why people have a dominant hand, but it most likely has to do with the brain having a dominant side.

Independent variable: The dominant or nondominant hand
Dependent variable: The amount of time that one hand can tolerate the cold
Constant variable: The approximate age of person being tested, the temperature of ice cube, the approximate size of the ice cube, location of testing
Materials
5 right handed people, 5 left handed people, ice cubes of approx. the same size, tray, data chart
Procedure:
Gather 5 right handed people and 5 left handed people of the same age and the rest of the materials.
Ask each person to record what their dominant hand is.
One person at a time, place an ice cube in each
