Tattoo one of the ancient arts that was firstly found by an accident. According to an article about History of Tattooing, tattoo was originally from “Someone with a small wound or gash happened to rub it with a dirty hand that was covered with soot or ash. Once the wound had healed, they realized that the skin had healed over the ash and that the mark became a permanent addition”, and since then, tattoo has been a custom for the indigenous people in all around the world (n.d.). Furthermore, in the modern era, tattooing has been a common thing and considered fashionable and artistic. And as a form of art and fashion, tattoo has many designs and trends. And now this essay will explain about the newest trends of the tattooing art, the white ink and UV or black light tattoos, and also the advantages and disadvantages.
Firstly, what is white ink and UV tattoos? The white ink tattoo is literally like its name, is a tattoo with only using white ink. No black outline and no additional color. White ink tattoo is typically just an outline, often just a script or a simple design (Squires, 2013). And according to Wikipedia “UV tattoos or black light tattoos are tattoos made with a special ink that is visible under an ultraviolet light (black light). Depending upon the ink, they can be nearly invisible in non-UV environments” (2013). Both white ink and UV tattoos are a great choice for those who wants to express themselves in a new way that are exquisite, yet subtle look tattoo.
In addition, having these kind of tattoo can bring some advantages. One of the benefits is, the fact that it appears very unique, elegant, and subtle. Furthermore, it is capable of more delicate details of slightly raised skin due to its thicker ink (White Ink Tattoos, n.d.). Along with UV tattoo, it brings a special effect, which make most people think
