In tying this into my Job zone assessment, my results show that I am willing to add more education in order to have a specific career.     Who Am I This Time Writing Assignment

    The character, Helene Shaw, developed exceedingly throughout the duration of the short story from being a shy girl who hides behind her phone company job to falling in love with an even more bashful individual. In the beginning of the story Helene is a person who is highly devoted to her demanding job, jumping from place to place 8 weeks at a time to instruct fellow phone company workers how to operate an automatic billing machine. As well as being devoted, she comes across as being dull based on the interaction she shared with the narrator of the story to such a degree that “she seemed kind of numb, almost like a machine herself” (16). Although the narrator hasn’t been named, all that is revealed is that he is a salesman who is tasked with the job of directing the local theater production A Streetcar Named Desire. Because of the narrator’s curiosity in Helene, he invites her to play a role in the local play as Stella the wife of the main character Marlon Brando. As the plot thickens Stella is given the opportunity to meet the person playing Marlon Brando, Harry Nash, after failing to show enough emotion. After the duo performed to the narrator, Stella breaks out of her shell to develop a crush on Harry who happens to be an even more “numb” and shy person. Towards the end of the narrative it is the finale of the three-night performances so Helene makes her move by asking Harry to recite a couple of lines from Romeo and Juliet: “For stony limits cannot hold love out… And what love can do, what dares love attempt…” (28). This leads Harry to express a boldness and braveness and thus so, the two get married. To end the story in an irony, as the narrator asks Helene and Harry to act in the next play, Helene recites the line that Harry said but with a smile saying, “who are we this time?” (29).…

    Dystopian genres characterize upon the concept of a dehumanized and frightening world. Quintessential ideals that associate with this genre demonstrate themes such as fear, totalitarianism, loss of history, and the individual (Explore-Science-Fiction-Movies). It is the general aspect of what molds and shapes someone, or something to continue throughout their course of action. These characteristics capitalize upon another genre, horror fiction, in which Richard Matheson employs both these genres to build upon curiosity, suspense, and emotional distress in this dystopian world (Carroll 54-55), Matheson utilizes an angle of horror in I Am Legend to build upon the “last” survivor of the world. Matheson capitalizes upon the belief of survival of the fittest in order to depict the cause and effect of every action. Matheson constitutes a parallel between normal human life that we are accustomed to, and the dystopian latter to show how easily they can flip on one another. I Am Legend seeks to emphasize the possibility that society itself can easily become a dystopia through its gritty, raw portrayal drawn from the horror genre. Distributing fear about isolation and a spur lifestyle within the text.     I enjoyed taking these tests because it gave me an idea of what my personality is like and what my weakness and strengths are. I feel these results accurately described me because I have taken previous tests like these in high school and got about the same results. It is good to see that some areas have improved, while others, like my anxiety levels, have increased. I now know more about my personality and what other people see when they talk to me. I am a very depressed person, so I feel like everyone thinks I’m stupid or annoying or just weird. My results showed me that I do have great skills in dealing with rejection, that I am practical and down to earth, and that I have an average score in social situations. It is also good to know that I am mostly agreeable. I think these tests are reliable because a lot of times people won’t tell you what they really think of you and you are kind of just left guessing. These tests ask relatable and practical questions with easy answers that are simplely just agree or disagree. My favorite test was the anxiety test, because I have been diagnosed with anxiety. I worry about almost everything that can go wrong and usually don’t look at the positive things going on in my life. It’s good to know my level of anxiety, because I never knew it was actually that high. These tests have really shown me my true personality and it feels great to know about them, even the ones that are bad and low scores.…

    I was born in Brazil, on the 27th of June, 1986. That's where I lived until I was 8 years old, and then I moved to the United States for the first time. My father wanted to achieve a Master's Degreee in Marketing, but we had not moved to a little town in the state of Michigan for only his advantage. He also wanted me and my older brother to learn a second language because he believed we would greatly benefit from this experience. My dad was right, for what I gained from learning English became obvious to me soon after those years.
