At this time blacks were straying away from their stasis quo of society and writing liberal pieces. What this poem is about Baraka’s expression of who he feel is at fault for a lot of the things that have taken place and a cause of why the world is the way it is when it comes to money power and war and how they can all be directly related to whites.
Furthermore, a lot of these same themes and imagery can be found in other great works of Amir Baraka. According to the poem, “For Malcolm’s eyes, when they broke the face of some dumb white man, for Malcolm’s hands raised to bless us” (line 1-3). This is a line from the poem. “A Poem for Black Hearts” by Amir Baraka. In this poem Malcom is a representation of African American males. It is also about African- American manhood and what it entitles. Also, the struggles they face as African American males. Moreover, Amri Baraka is seen as very influential and you can see his themes in many artist of the present. According to the text, “No you won’t be named no buildings after me/ to go down dilapidated ooh.” (Line 1-2). This is a line from the poem, A.D. 2000 by Erykah Badu. Erykah Badu is an American singer- songwriter, record producer, disc jockey, activist and actress. Her musical
