Who Came First, the Chicken Orthe Egg
NAME: OKUNDIGIE MARGARET.IMUETIYAN

MATRIC.NUMBER: 12CP014188

PROGRAM: BIOCHEMISTRY

GST 211: LOGIC, PHILOSOPHY AND HUMAN EXISTENCE

QUESTIONS:

* What do you think: which one came first –the chicken or the egg * If in a situation where you had to choose between your husband and your child- which would you save

ANSWERS: * Personally, I believe that the chicken came first cause I understood from the creation story that the lord on the fifth day “created moving creatures that hath life ,and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven”---GENESIS 1:20-21 and it also goes on to say that God gave dominion over all creatures created and also that man could name all this creatures that he hath given life--GENESIS 1:26
I doubt that God was talking about eggs cause as we are all concerned an egg is not yet living until it finally reaches the stage that it can hatch and become living.

I know that scientifically an egg is meant to come first before the chicken but I believe that God is the ultimate and that you cannot argue with his words and it is clearly stated in the bible that God created creatures that hath life not an egg or anything else but a living creature and fowl that may fly and not an egg that would one day hatch and then fly. More so, the egg has to be gotten from the chicken and I believe that in this kind of question everything has to be traced to the creation story….but I do believe that a chicken should come first before an egg. Finally, some people may argue that eggs come first cause it is impossible for a chicken to exist without an egg existing first for that chicken to grow from but I don’t think there is anything to impossible for God to do and as I have stated in my earlier paragraphs it has been stated in the

In Genesis 2, the creation only takes a meager one day to complete. First, God creates the man, Adam, when "He blew into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living being."(Genesis 2:7) Second, God creates plants in the Garden of Eden. Third, God brings the animals to Adam, who names each of them. Seeing that "for Adam no fitting helper was found. So the Lord God cast a deep sleep upon the man; and, while he slept, He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that spot. And the Lord God fashioned the rib that He had taken from the man into a woman; and He brought her to the man." (Genesis 2:20-22) Another point that affirms that Genesis 1 and 2 are two separate creation stories is that in Genesis 1:25-27 it tells how humans were created after man, and that the first man and woman were created simultaneously, while Genesis 2:18-19 claims, the humans were created before the other animals, and then the woman was created from man's rib.…

Instead it claims that all organisms were created as their own species from the beginning. In brief, the book of genesis tells the story of how God created the universe in six days. No matter how unfathomable this may be to the scientific mind, it is a well-known point that the bible is the word of God and God is never wrong. Given this information, it is not reasonable for us to consider the book of genesis as truth, since it lacks empirical evidence. Even if God is never wrong there is no evidence to prove God’s existence and role on the creation of the universe. Now, I am not claiming that the book of genesis is wrong. Since we are presented with two creation stories, one significantly supported by empirical evidence and the other supported by the divine word of God, the creation story supported by empirical evidence is more promising. However, depending on your values and faith in God you may determine that the book of genesis is more…

The Islamic creation myth starts with the deity they call “Allah.” He was simply able to create everything with no effort. So Allah created the physical world: land, sea, and the heavens. He made all the living creatures and gave them the ability to walk, swim, or fly. He made the sun, moon, and the stars to give light. The Quran mentions that Allah made it rain and soon thereafter rose vegetation as sustenance to feed the living creatures on the earth. Allah created angels to help the development of life in its infantile stages. Allah sent his angels to seven areas of the earth to gather different kinds of earth material so he may form the first man from the dirt and mud of every corner of the earth. This man was called Adam. Allah brought Adam to “paradise” where he was to live with Hawwa, the first woman. Hawwa was created from the flesh and bone that was part of Adam. Allah taught Adam the names of the animals that roam the earth, and commanded the angels to bow down before him. But, Iblees, one of the angels disobeyed Allah’s orders and refused to serve Adam. “And when your Lord said to the angels: ‘I am going to create a human from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him soul created by me, then you fall down prostrate to him.’ (Quran 38:71-72) ‘...Prostrate to Adam and they prostrated except Iblees....’ (Quran 7:11)” (1)…

The way the Bible tells us about creation is that it goes like this In the beginning God created the heavens and the world he did not physically form the world like clay he spoke it into existence The earth was formless and void then God said let there be light and there was light God saw that the light was good and God separated the light from the darkness and called the light day and the darkness night then a day passed and then God said let there be an expanse in the midst water and separate the water from the expanse and there was. God called the expanse heaven and then a day passed and God saw that it was good. Then God said let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place and let dry land appear and the waters gathered into one place and dry land appeared and God saw that it was good and God called the dry land earth and the water sea. Then God said let the earth grow vegetation yielding seed and the earth brought forth vegetation yielding seed. then a day passed and then God said let there be light in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. and there was and he saw that it was good. Then God made two great lights one to govern the day and one to govern the night and saw that it was good. then a day passed and God said let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures and let birds fly in the air and God saw that it was good and blessed them saying be fruitful and multiply on the earth and God made beasts of the earth everything that creeps on the ground and blessed them and said be fruitful an multiply the earth and God saw that it was good. Then God said let US (God is three things in one kind of like water cause water can be water ,ice, and snow. God is:God the father, God the son, and God the holy spirit)make man in our image according to our likeness and let them rule over the fish in the sea the birds in the sky and the beasts on the ground. God created man in his own image in the image of God he created them male and…
