Who Is CHERUB: The Recruit

CHERUB: The Recruit is about a boy who is twelve years old. He lives in Britain and his name is James Choke. James is always getting into trouble, such as getting in fights at school. James’s mom’s name is Gwen Choke. She runs a shoplifting empire. One night she dies. After she died, James and his half sister Lauren are sent to a children’s home called the Nebraska House. A few days later, James wakes up in a weird place is not sure how he got there. It turns out that this place is a top secret government organization called CHERUB. It is where children become undercover agents. In order to be eligible to be an agent at CHERUB, James has to agree to do the tough one hundred day training course and change his name. His new name is James Adams. Once James finally finishes the course, he is qualified to be an agent. At the end of the story, James goes on his first mission.
James is brave, intelligent and tough. At the beginning of the book, he is confused and scared because his mom dies and he is sent to a children’s home. He then wakes up in some weird place with people asking him to be a spy. Another main character in the book is James’s nine year old sister Lauren who can also do the training once she turns ten. Just like James, Lauren is confused and scared. Kerry Chang is one of James’s friends at CHERUB. She was also James’s training partner for basic training and is a karate champion. Another one of James’s best friends is Kyle Blueman who is fourteen. Kyle is the same person at the Nebraska house and is the one who recruits
