Who Is Ebenezer Scrooge In A Christmas Carol
In class these past couple days we have been watching a movie called A "Christmas Carol." It is an exhilarating movie also and old one at that. There are many main characters, but the main one I am focused on is the elder man named Ebenezer Scrooge. He is the elder man in the movie that is traveling back into his past to see why it is he hates Christmas. This man has three ghosts of Christmas take him back to realize he has been putting blame where it is not needed. In the beginning he still continues to be himself and hate the day most people cherish and love, yet he chooses to demote the idea of Christmas. Scrooge is not just a regular man. No man himself puts down Christmas is regular. In the movie there is a very delinquent man with
nothing to abide by anymore or to have hope in. He is a very sad lonely man. This ghost of Christmas has tried to come and help him remember what Christmas is all about. Scrooge has just remembered all the bad that has came with Christmas instead of worrying about the good things. It has made him learn that only bad things come from Christmas.
In the movie all there is this one spirit that helps scrooge realize what is to come if he continues the path he is on. This spirit is the spirit from the future traveling to let scrooge know what is going to happen. As they journey in time scrooge is starting to understand more, and more that they are only trying to help confide in the Christmas holiday. When they reach this one point in the future, it undertakes scrooge to see that he is distressed and sees himself lying on his deathbed all alone. Scrooge, also then takes it upon himself to think of what his actions led up to and how they should be resolved.
Once scrooge has registered his mind to the idea that if he does not change his ways of life. He will end up alone lying on his deathbed with no one there to even feel remorse or even sympathy for him. What does scrooge do you ask? By this time he then gets his life together and so he continues to do what most people do for Christmas. Which is celebrate he is also started a new rhythmic pattern to where he is pleasant to the ones around him? Scrooge also takes it upon himself to shower another family which is a friend of his with his sorrow and by doing that he brought gifts, food, and his way of humbling the thought of Christmas.
In the movie and from what I comprehend I learned a lot. I came to my senses that you should not dwell in the past for any reason. Once you have there is no going back to repair what has already been done. In this case the only way scrooge knew the path he was going down was because it was brought to his understanding. It also gives you a prospective that only you can choose what path you go down and if you realize something needs to change that you can only do so. Most people any ways should uphold the day of Christmas even if something bad has occurred. You should just take memorial of that bad thing and just go on in life not hold a strong grudge. Just take the right paths in life then you will succeed and take the wrong, and one you will end up like scrooge alone on your deathbed.
