Being gloomy, meaning dark and mean, is also a negative trait that Eric the villain possesses. Eric and his gloomy personality is very prominent in this book. In the book, “Tangerine,” Eric makes fun of Tino one of Paul’s friends. Tino defends himself and Eric gloominess kicked in. Eric then punched Tino right across his face knocking him out. Eric stands there like nothing happened as Tino lays there in pain. All of Paul's friends ran to Tino to help him. Eric turned around with a grin and walks away. Paul's being cheerful instead of running at Eric and hitting him he gives him a solemn yet mad stair. Eric then turned around and walks away. He once again was acting like a villain. Eric rips the gloomy part right out of him and puts it to use.
Although villains are harmful and gloomy, they are also greedy. In “Tangerine,” greedy plays an important part in Eric's life. In the story, Eric was going into tinted houses to spray. Eric and Author who acts as Eric sidekick helps him spray. Of course the greedy side jumps out. Eric steals valuable items from the houses. The items were diamond rings, necklaces, watches , money and more. Eric once more acts likes nothing and of course gets away.
