Who Is John Proctor A Hero In The Crucible

John Proctor is the tragic hero of The Crucible. Although he can be cast as the hero, John Proctor causes his tragic face by the end of the play. He had risked his life for others. Caring for others and he had risked his life for someone really important then him. Even his wife, Elizabeth Proctor. John Proctor had risked his life for the people who were in penitentiary. He could have said he seen the other penitentiary who was in jail. That has seen them with the Devil like what Betty, Abigail and Tituba had done. But so his wife and the others did not get in trouble. He just said it was him and that the others we not there and that Danforth had jailed the wrong people. Reverend Hale is not the true Hero of the story. Hale just tried to help and free them and convince Judge Danforth that Abigail and the other girls was lying on Mary Warren. When they were saying Mary Warren was controlling the girls and John Proctor knew Mary Warren was innocent, he kept telling Judge Danforth that they were pretending but Danforth was being Gullible and believing them.
John Proctor may be a lecher.
And may not go to church because of Reverend Parris. But that doesn’t prove that he isn’t a hero. All heroes have a past. People didn’t like Superman because he was born on a different planet. But he still save Earth multiple times. All heroes are not saints. A true hero will risk his life for others. And that is what John Proctor is. In summary, John Proctor proves a true hero legacy. He has a lot of downfalls in his lifetime: Living a life as a farmer, A person who didn’t go to church. Had sacrifice his life for others. Not all heroes are skilled and perfect, but John Proctor is a definition of a True
Hero.
