In the novel Animal Farm, there is a character named Mollie. She is a foolish, pretty white mare. the vain flighty who pulls Mr Jones carriage. Mollie craves people’s attention and loves to be groomed and pampered. She would have to be my favorite character in the story because she’s a brat, spoiled, and lazy. Those are her outstanding characteristics. Mollie is very foolish, when the others were discussing about the rebellion she asked, “will there be sugar after the rebellion” this quotation shows how silly she is.I believe she is like that because she’s always been spoiled, she never had to worry about anything in her life. she only cares about herself and nobody
else. That’s why she has a tough time with her new life on animal farm because she is used to having it all easy. She is a selfish and cares nothing for her the animals. Her only concerns about the revolution are the ones by her ego. To describe Mollies personality would be shallow and immature. An example would be when she arrived at the big meeting Orwell 5 writes, “Mollie… Came mincing daintily in, chewing a lump of sugar. She took a place near the front and began flirting her white mane, hoping to draw attention to the red ribbons it was plaited with” in that quotation explains how Mollie craves attention and how she is adolescent. I believe that she is developing her mind set because she still has the mentality of a little kid. Which makes her act the she is, a little kid. That’s why she ran away from the farm and only cares about herself, I believe. But ever since Mollie ran away, She became a memory and the animals never mentioned Mollie again. Probably because she was unfair and childish to the farm and to what was happening. She’s my favorite character because she represents someone who did no work and enjoyed life while doing nothing..
