Friar Lawrence went behind the backs of the law, and their families to marry them and to get them together after Romeo’s exile. If Friar Lawrence never married them or made a plan to get them together they would have never killed themselves. When Friar Lawrence’s plan failed, Romeo went to the tomb to see Juliet “dead”, Romeo thought she was for real dead and killed himself with the poison from the Apothecary.When Friar Lawrence showed up no less than a minute later Juliet woke up. When Juliet woke up to see Romeo dead on the ground, she then pulled her knife out, that she had been hiding, and killed herself too. This leaves only one person to be responsible, Friar Lawrence. All in all Friar Lawrence should be held responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death. When all the evidence comes up, Friar Lawrence is the better person to chose to be more responsible over Romeo. Also Romeo is dead and the Prince could not really blame someone that is dead, so the only other option is Friar Lawrence.
