The main characters would be Macbeth the protagonist and the witches as antagonist. Macbeth is portrayed as gullible because he believes everything the witches say about his destiny as king and as ambitious because he has just learned he is going to be king. The witches, however are portrayed to be clever and deceiving since at the end of the story they have a sneaky way to trick Macbeth into his death.
The main want and need is for Macbeth to be king. Lady Macbeth and Macbeth eventually
end up killing King Duncan to secure his reign like the witches had told him. They told him his destiny would to become king and nobody born of a woman could harm him and his rule wouldn’t be over until the forest moved up to Birnam Wood.
Lady Macbeth and Macbeth then try to cover up King Duncan’s murder by placing the daggers on the guards and rubbing his blood on them. However, they were scared the guards were going to say something so they killed them and blamed it out of despite for the murder of their king. After killing King Duncan they decide to kill Banquo and eventually Macduff’s family. This will end up to Macbeth going crazy, the lesson learned in the story is that someone can have too much ambition.
In conclusion, there was a good resolution, the downfall of Macbeth when Macduff learns that he killed his family to secure his reign, Macduff then decides to kill him because he is such a tyrant. Macduff kills Macbeth and puts his head on a stake to warn others not to despise him.
