Frankenstein, a play that has been around for one-hundred years still is remembered till this day. There was a monster that had one request and a creator who ignored it; all lead to a depressing tragedy. Dr. Frankenstein is to blame for the tragedies that occurred to the monster because he did not account for the consequences that occurred. The doctor abandoned the monster when he could not control him any longer and did not take ownership for his creation which makes him solely responsible for the death and destruction in this story.
Dr. Frankenstein was a man who was full of negativity. He was just filled with hatred towards the monster, which affected the monster's self-esteem. but he was too irresponsible. The monster was only an innocent victim, but Dr. Frankenstein knows him as the ugliest being alive. He should’ve gotten the chance to know his monster instead of being the judgmental monster that he was. Dr.
Frankenstein was a very disrespectful man, especially towards his own monster. The monster isn't to blame for no reason at all; he was brought into a world where he was not expected to be in. The doctor's reaction after creating the monster was unbelievably ridiculous. He looked at him in disgust with a horrified look on his face. The ugliness of the monster was too hard for him to bare so he fell into a deep depression and shunned his creation.. Dr. Frankenstein had never taken the time to ever listen to the monster’s problems because he was too much of a coward, which made the monster feel deserted and unwanted. The bond between them should have been a lot stronger. Dejectedly, Dr. Frankenstein would never have contact nor take the time to know each other; they only talk when they have negative things to say. All Dr. Frankenstein wanted to do is to play god and who would create and own beautiful human life creatures. The monster that turned out to be apparently dreadful was a beautiful creature in the inside; unfortunately the real monster won’t be able to see
that.
Dr. Frankenstein didn't approve the monsters wish, which was creating a female companion. The monster was very lonely and depressed. He had no friends, no family that loves him, and sadly, he lives in a world filled with prejudice and hateful thoughts. The monster was completely isolated and nobody cared for this human being who wanted to be loved so desperately. All he ever wanted was a loving, caring female friend, but Dr. Frankenstein assumes that creating another monster would affect the environment negatively. Dr. Frankenstein had promised the monster for a female companion so that he will never see the monster again. After second thoughts, Dr. Frankenstein destroys the companion right in front the monster's eyes. He thought that the more monsters he creates, the more people will die and the hate will lead towards Dr. Frankenstein. He thinks that the monsters will plan something evil and ruin the world. His realization kicked in and thought he cannot be responsible for two ugly monsters. Dr. Frankenstein should have been smart enough to realize that accepting the monster's request wouldn't have lead to so many problems like losing his loved ones. It was unfortunate that his heart was mainly focused on himself, not others.
The liability in this tragedy leads to Dr. Frankenstein, his dearly loved family and friends passed away because of his prejudice words. The creature gave up on finding people who love him; instead he became what they always believed him to be – a monster. The doctor was a failure who did not account for the consequences that occurred.
