Who Really Killed Martin Luther King?
Who really killed Martin Luther King Jr. on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, TN? Supposedly James Earl Ray was behind Kings Assassination. But the assassination was just another conspiracy involving Lyndon B. Johnson, J Edgar Hoover, and possibly the FBI; JER had no part in Dr. King’s murder. For years people have believed that the man who shot and killed MLK was James Earl Ray, Police claim that Ray was behind the assassination, but there was no real evidence putting Earl at the crime scene. JER spent his life in prison based mainly on a coerced confession which he immediately retracted. None of the tests performed on the rifle Ray allegedly used, were able to link that rifle to the actual bullet that killed Dr. Martin Luther King. Kings own family didn’t believe that James was the killer, and recently won a civil court case proving there was a conspiracy. James Earl Ray was born in Alton Illinois on March 10, 1928. He was a confirmed racist, and a small time criminal. He was sent to jail for about 6 different crimes, finally being sentenced to 20 years in prison for repeated offences. He escaped the Missouri State penitentiary in 1967 by hiding in a truck transporting bread from the prison bakery. After escaping he then moved to Mexico. How did an escape prisoner get out of the country? In 1968, Ray was accused of killing King. Police found a map of Atlanta in Ray’s apartment, circling Kings Residence, and church. But according to Dr. William Pepper, a man obsessed with the finding out what really happened to MLK; the Atlanta map isn’t in any way related to Dr. King or his residency, but more so basic landmarks. The FBI obviously messed with the real evidence and information involving Ray. J Edgar Hoover did not favor Martin Luther King Jr. He tried on various occasions to shut him down. But they did not really work. Hoover followed King everywhere, and watched his every move. How did this shooting happen without him seeing anything? LBJ was all for King and his purpose up until King started to talk down on the Vietnam War. He first began to publicly express doubts about the war on April 4, 1967 at the New York City Riverside Church. Exactly one year later. King was shot and killed. Now is this a coincidence or conspiracy? James Earl Ray was framed for the assassination of King by the FBI, LBJ, and JEH, the real people behind King’s death. Ray probably admitted to the crime because he felt that there was no hope for him coming out of that trial a free man after being set up by the most powerful people in America. Then realized that it wasn’t right that he was sent to prison for 99 years for a crime he didn’t commit. King’s assassination was a conspiracy involving Lyndon B Johnson, J Edgar Hoover, and the FBI; James Earl Ray did partake in this vicious crime.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson says it's a plot: "I have always believed that the government was part of a conspiracy, either directly or indirectly, to assassinate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.," he wrote in the forward to James Earl Ray's autobiography Who Killed Martin Luther King Jr.? Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young believes the government was responsible for King's death, as well. "I've always thought the FBI might be involved in some way," he said. "You have to remember this was a time when the politics of assassination was acceptable in this country. It was during the period just before Allende's murder. I think it's naïve to assume these institutions were not capable of doing the same thing at home or to say each of these deaths (King and the two Kennedys) was an isolated incident by 'a single assassin.' It was government policy."…

When you really look into Kennedy’s past however, you find that he made a lot of enemies as attorney general. He had supported the minority blacks in the South, helped the Mexican farm workers, put away many low level criminals, ran anti-communist campaigns, and the one thing he supported that got him killed; his support of the state of Israel. The man that shot Kennedy was a Jordanian nationalist and hated Kennedy because he supported the state of Israel. This caused him to run up to Kennedy, shoot off three shots, and quickly get tackled to the floor. Sirhan Bishara Sirhan was tried and found guilty of murder and sentenced to death.…

He confessed to the killing, but retracted his confession after he had been imprisoned. There is much speculation that the FBI was involved in King's death.Upon news of the assassination, riots erupted nation-wide. President Johnson declared 7 April a national day of mourning–but mourning in many places took the form of violence and arson. The number of riots totaled 168; the number of arrests, 3000; the number of injuries, over 20,000; and the number of soldiers called in to restore order, 55,000.”…

Too many bogus movies and uninformative documentaries have been presented before the public portraying only one viewpoint of this story in order to misinform and deter the public from the truth. Malcolm X was depicted as an advocate of violence which was another lie advocated by The FBI. Both the FBI and CIA refuse to reveal documents pertaining to his death. I will also touch on both assassinations of John F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King, and why their deaths appear to be very suspect as well. This paper will also focus on J. Edgar Hoover, the first Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which he transformed into his own secret police force called COINTELPRO (Counter Intelligence Program). J. Edgar Hoover’s main objective was to neutralize any movement or individuals which he felt was a threat to National Security, which in most cases was a product of his own imagination. Even Charlie Chaplin was on Hoover’s list as being suspected of advocating communist propaganda. The sources I will use will be an article from Goodmen Project.com, whatreallyhappened.com, and Cointelpro - the FBI war on political…
