Viziers
To help them run the government and the army they had ministers to help them out which were the viziers. Even though the pharaohs were on top and in full command the viziers were also very important because the pharaohs couldn’t run the government and make sure everything was running smoothly all by themselves.
The tax payers did not own the properties or their land everything was owned by the pharaoh.
Court systems
They had court systems which rules applied. There was a higher court and a lower court. The higher court was made up of the pharaoh and the vizier. The lower court was made up of older people. The lower court would try to come to an agreement if you did not like the lower court’s opinion or say it would go to the high to the vizier but only if your case was serious and if you had evidence to prove why the opinion was wrong. …show more content…
Since they were in charge of something they have power but since the pharaoh was still the most powerful in ancient Egypt that means that the pharaoh had made the final decision.
The scribes and priests
Other officials that reported into Pharaoh were the army commander, the chief treasurer, and the minister of public works. These officials each had different responsibilities and powers, but Pharaoh had the final say. Many of the Pharaoh's officials were priests and scribes. Scribes were important to the government as they kept track of the finances and recorded taxes and the census. Overseers of the land were also appointed to keep track of the farmers and to make sure they were doing their jobs.
