He also ordered various agencies to harass activities and political figures. What keeps him from being the worst President is that his first term was filled with good policy choices. He visited the People's Republic of China and opened up diplomatic relationships between the two nations. His administration embraced policies that transferred powers from the federal government to the states, and many other things. What hurt him the most was his second term that was nothing compared to the first and was considered a trainwreck and a

A great president is considered to be wise and noble. He is also firm, patriotic, and was known as, “the one who invented tradition as he went along.” The greatest president of the United States from 1789-1836 was George Washington. He was the first president of the United States and started great traditions. He took his job very seriously during his time. He was in term from 1789-1797 and contributed too many extraordinary events. George Washington led troops in the Revolutionary War in 1775 as commander of chief, before he became president. He then led troops in the Whiskey Rebellion in 1794, which established federal authority. He brought American focus on America instead of being involved in foreign entanglement. George Washington also facilitated the economic take-off, and facilitated in territorial expansion and the inclusion of the new states.…

I believe that George Washington, our very first President, had the biggest of successes. He had to figure out how to run a country. He had no one to look up to. He did everything on his own. Being the first, and not having experience, I think he didn't do that bad of a job. Another one of Washington's successes was that he led the Continental Army. He led the army into victory. Winning a war is a major success. Not only did Washington participate in the war, he led the army who fought and won the war. Washington also faced failures. He had a problem with the Indian tribes in the US. The British began to supply the Indians with arms and ammunition to attack the US settlers. Another failure of Washington was that he always seemed to side more with Hamilton. Not many people liked that idea. Washington also had slaves. Many people disagreed with the idea of slaves but Washington still had them, as our President.…

Presidential Evaluation- George Washington was a president of the highest measures. He set up the office of the president almost single-handedly and had to settle disgruntled farmers in western Pennsylvania that were specters of the original Revolutionaries. He also had to juggle both the British and French harassments and also choose to not support the new French government in their war against Britain. That choice was unpopular among many of the American people but he kept to his decision because he wanted to make sure that his new nation would continue to exist and hold its own against any foreign power in the future. To rate George Washington is an extremely difficult thing to do. The man set the guidelines of the presidency and was always looking out for the good of the government and the people. I will rate him 10/10 because he is the guideline for all the other presidents to compare…

As the oldest president inaugurated during his time and the first to die in office just within 31 days, President William Henry Harrison is ranked with a 2. He delivered a two hour long inaugural address, the longest on record, but passed away from pneumonia because of his imperviousness. He was only elected because of his political popularity that derived from him being a "war hero", which at that point in American history generally meant killing Native Americans, a feat Harrison managed somehow at the battle of Moraviantown, during the War of 1812, which itself was one of the stupidest wars fought by two nations. That is why President William Henry Harrison if not is the worst president in U.S. history.…

Franklin Roosevelt was a huge impact for our country. I believe he did great things, many other people believe so too because he was elected four terms. Some examples of his accomplishments include establishing a national minimum wage through the Fair Labor Standards Act, taking the first Federal action to prohibit employment discrimination, and lastly the Glass–Steagall Act. All of these things greatly impacted us and the outcome was purely positive. His new deal is what got us through the Great Depression and FDR was on the verge of getting rid of poverty.…

I think that there were many reasons and situations that proved Andrew Jackson to be a bad president. One of the reasons was “The Spoils System”. He wasn’t a very fair president. He gave government jobs to his friends and the people that voted for him. This was known as the spoils system. The spoils system corrupted the government because no one had a chance to get good at their job or even get a job. He was almost similar to a king, which was not a good thing for the country. For example, when the Supreme Court sided with the Indians against the state of Georgia, Jackson ignored the ruling of the Supreme Court. Another reason was the withdrawal of the second national bank. Jackson tried to destroy the National Bank by withdrawal federal funds and placing them into state banks. The bank supported the rich white men, but did not cater to the needs of the working white men. Jackson believed that “Congress had no right under the Constitution to charter a bank.” But, it was not Jackson’s position to determine the constitutionality of the bank, because the Supreme Court had already ruled that the bank was constitutional in the case “McCulloch vs. Maryland”.…
