Who Was Victor Ochoan Inventor
My decade’s project is about Mexico in the 60s. I chose Victor Ochoa because he is an inventor from Mexico who invented the electric windmill in 1860s. Victor Ochoa was a man of many talents. He’s born in Mexico and lived there all his life. When he was alive he was a graphic designer, painter, inventor, and master muralist.
Victor Ochoa was born in 1850s in Ojinaja, Mexico. His mother’s name was Francisca Ochoa and his father’s name Juan Ochoa. He grew up on a small town because there wasn’t that much money to provide the homes and food for all the people back then.
Ochoa enjoyed school a lot, he was a very good student. When Ochoa was at junior high an incident took place at his school that affected Ochoa in many ways. In the school

Juan Ochoa had a large lumber mill in Fort Davis and a large stand of timber in the mountains. Then an ambush took place, Victor and his younger brother where traveling with their father as the ambush occurred. Searching for a place to stay because everywhere they would stay it would get torn or taken over they had to settle in the same place they stared, Ojinaja, Mexico. When Victor Ochoa grew of age and he was trying to find a place and money for his soon-to-be wife. Ochoa had to grow up knowing how to make food and provide food for his family. When Ochoa was younger he could either play with his siblings or play with things he found, he made a huge collection of things he would find that he would make things with. He has painted many portraits of himself and other people as an inspiration. He has invented a lot of things but three things have been very well-known. They are the clincher wrench, electric brake, and windmill.
One of his first inventions was an electric brake. It was invented in 1901. The electric brake was made for trains and street cars. When Ochoa made the electric brake he sold it to a company to make money. Ochoa had to use some of the money for his own personal life but most of the money went towards the workers and supplies. Ochoa had a lot more money to feed his family and to get food. The electric brake

He spent any spare time to think of new things to invent that people would love. He spent days and nights think about what new invention he was going to sell or use. On December, 17, 1904 the Ochoaplane was invented by International Airship Co. inspired by Victor Ochoa. The plane was not well made as the planes are today, the support of the plain was wood and nails. The inventor had been working on the plane for more than 15 years just to make it perfect for Ochoa and perfectly able to fly. After weeks of figuring out how to use it and making it work properly they got the plane to fly 5 feet off the floor. The plane did not fly with the sticks or buttons it had clockwork. After Ochoa tested the plane to see how it flew he knew that they had to get a new plane. The inventor started to build a new plane to work with. The machine he was trying to replicate was a bird. The body was shaped like a bird and the wings would be thick like a bird. The body of the plane was the heaviest and the wings were the lightest, which is because in order to fly the wings had to weigh a bit less than the body of the plane weighs. For months Ochoa and the inventor had studied on birds watched them fly take off and fly away. After a couple of months Ochoa and the inventor finished making the new and improved

When the man started his journey to come across to America, he was taken to an old, run down, dark house. When Hector arrived at the house another man (Miguel) was already there waiting to be hustled across the border. They would spend several days and nights together in the house not knowing what was to come next. They had to go with limited food and drink for days. Then one night the coyote came and took the two men to a warehouse, there at the warehouse were many men. Eventually all the men were loaded into a hole that had been cut out of the bottom of a truck. After all the men had been loaded into the hole it was welded back shut. After hours of riding in a closed, cramped space that smelled of urine and vomit, Hector was losing hope of ever making it out of the truck. Finally, the truck came to a stop, the hole was reopened, and the men were “hustled” out of the truck into a second warehouse (25). From the second warehouse all the men was took into a office where they was given an new identification card, the start of their new life as an “illegal American” (26). Hector went to South Carolina with Miguel the man he met in the old house, they waited on a bench for Miguel’s cousin Pablo to come and pick them up. Finally Pablo arrived and they started their journey to South Carolina where Pablo’s lives and works. The farmer that Pablo worked for also gave Miguel a job. Pablo’s boss called his neighbor to…

Was it just something he was good at? Did he love it passionately? Or did he want to change how people thought about art entirely? I think it was mixture of all three, ever since his was young he was intrigued by art and had natural creative ability to produce his own ideas. While was in America he worked through multiple occupations, but then found his way back to art, and after meeting Orozco he knew he loved it, and knew what he wanted to do. His art was exactly what Dr. Atl had wanted, to abandon European art style, and create Mexico’s own art from the richness of the culture and history that came with it. Jose, used his travels and his knowledge of his heritage to create pieces that made observers ask questions, to make their brains think deeper than what was right in front of them, and analyze his work to find a deeper meaning. When looking at Jose’s works and his life journey, an important question to ask is how did his work change how we think about muralism and the Mexican art style? For Jose, he grew up in time of turmoil in his country, being only a boy during the Mexican revolution, and was most likely exposed to great tragedies. Leaving Mexico as soon as he could, he began opening his mind to different cultures without even realizing it. His travels greatly influenced his art, which therefore greatly influenced art itself. He was for the under privileged and lower class, and his beliefs came…
