Whopper's Head Quotes
It's unknown what the creature on Whopper's head is. He doesn't remember where he got it or even why he's named it Chauncey. He values Chauncey dearly, both of them looking out for each other even if Chauncey's actions are a lot more limited.

He rarely ever leaves Whopper's head, only doing so for a small snack or if asked to by Whopper. He trusts no one but the boy, and if left alone with others he'll be sure to make them aware of that

The quote stated above is respectfully the first quote which shows the audience that there is something quite strange about the Count. The Count is stating that he does not sup. Then after being how polite and hospitable, one would think that it is certainly odd that he did not sup along with his “company.” The audience may start to think that while Jonathan Harker sups, that the Count may be up to something.…

I believe the author opened paragraph five (Justin) with a quote from “The Elephant Man” because Justin is the kind of person who sees things in a positive perspective and has hopes and ideas for his life. On page 187 the text states “ The first time I met Olivia’s little brother, I have to admit I was totally taken by surprise. This shows that even after learning about Auggie in advance Justin is still a little shocked, but later on page 188 Justin states “I'm not freaked out or scared , I smile” I feel this information Links to the quote because Justin looks on the bright side, just like having a big head only because it is filled with dreams. Like Olivia said on page 189 “friends wouldn't come to my birthday parties, because he would be…

Tom Weylin and his wife, Margaret, both resent Dana because she is an educated black woman with proper dialect. The wife even goes as far as throwing coffee on her and slapping her, while the husband sends flirtatious signs her way and even tries to buy her, but Dana refuses. Dana tells Kevin of these experiences on the plantation, and he tells her she needs to leave, but she only agrees to leave when Rufus’s leg has fully healed. Nigel, who is a thirteen year old slave on Weylin’s plantation asks Dana to teach him how to read and write, and she agrees to, but makes sure he understand the dangerous consequences of their wrong-doing. Tom Weylin, although rare, walks in the cook-house and discovers Dana burning one of Nigel’s spelling tests.…

Teenagers tend to want more liberty and want to move out of their parent's house, when they eventually do that they end up hating it because it did not met their expectations. When people are young and immature they make decisions, due to a certain lust or desire, which they latter on regret. Urging too much for something sometimes causes for you to take your distractions off the consequences, because you do not see them. These ignorant people will become understanding as they mature, and realize that some things in life our not quite as easy as they seem. "The Chaser," by John Collier shows how some people who are urging for things such as love, are so single minded that they ignore all other consequences and concerns. Many people want to believe they are the best and if they aren’t they should just give up. Derek Jeter once said “ there may be people who have more talent than you, but there’s no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do - and I believe that.” This quote is known as one of the most inspirational quotes for athletes. Jeter’s quote has been applied to the lives of many athletes, especially Jessica Long, Babe Ruth, and himself. . It has affected those individuals in different ways and taught them different things. Each athlete has had a rough patch or difficulty in their sport(s) but they knew that they had to work at it instead of just giving up. That is what made these three good athletes.…

Quique Aviles essay is the story of his battle with addiction and how writing and performing help with it. As I read this essay one quote stuck out to me "I am a poet and an actor. I am also a crack addict and an alcoholic, and that is how people see me: a pipe head, a drunk, an epidemic, a disaster area", this quote ties into a part later on about zero tolerance with both of those parts of the essay it makes me think he believes no matter what he does he can not escape the label of addict, but even with that he still knows he needs to…

It is evident that Victor's ego conquers his humanity. Since his greed for knowledge engulfs his life, Victor destroys his relationship with his family. Therefore, Victor's isolation is brought upon himself as he encompassed his life with work instead of family. In contrast to this, the creature is rejected from society. When the creature tries to reach out to Mr. DeLacy, an old blind man, his son comes: "In a transport of fury, he dashed me to the ground and struck me violently with a stick"(119-120). As a result of this constant rejection, the creature becomes an outsider on account of his deformities. Therefore the creature is isolated from society, without his consent. Through this comparison, it is apparent that Victor is less humane than the creature.…
