Why Boys Become Vicious

Things people experience – life changing events – change how a person acts. No one is born with evil already within them. Children are incapable of understanding evil at a young age, for the longest they have no concept of good verse evil. They don’t know of evil until it is introduced to the through; suppression, criticism, chaos, profanity, violence, etc. They can do bad things, but it doesn’t make the evil. Evil, in my own connotation, is something that causes your mind to do the unthinkable without feeling remorse. Coloring on the wall is nothing like Hitler trying massacre a whole society of people. Children are not vicious unless someone is cruel to them first! Bullying is the worst thing a person can do to another. Once one person is bullied it sets off a chain reaction. This is, until one person has had enough; they then explode like a bomb. Golding’s statement that children “are more powerful than any bomb” is true, but only in extreme instances. Think back to the Columbine Shooting, something horrible set them on that path of destruction. Also bombs only hurt you physically, but a disturbed child can hurt you physically, mentally, financially, socially, etc. Sadly in today’s world there is an increased numbers of disturbed children. My generation is being influenced by many media sources that where not around in the past. Regulations on these mediums of communication are lacking. Many gangs, radical group and other misguided people are using these to recruit members and spread their ideas. The news is full of teenagers getting shot because they are affiliated to these organizations, without this influence these wouldn’t occur. We are growing more dangerous to not only others, but also ourselves. Willingly, we put ourselves into these situations that in the end could cost us our life. Children are not born evil, we don’t choose become exposed to it. Once we are we are capable of evil we become more destructive the worst bomb. As the
