Islam has a strict mindset that Allah and Muhammad cannot be drawn and there was an event last year where the whole Saudi Arabia protested against ‘youtube’ for allowing the video of Muhammad to be uploaded. They argue that they have specific reason for these believe. First of all, Muslims do not draw their prophet out of respect. This is because no matter how artistic a person could be, they would not be able to draw exactly like Muhammad himself as we have only a limited information of how Muhammad looks and as there was no tools like camera that exist today, we got to know his appearance verbally and as words change from time to time and due to different perspective of people, this information has less credibility. They believe that they are not allowed to lie about their prophet and so Muslims cannot draw or represent the prophet as people have different opinion. Second, they fear idolatry. People know that Muhammad is a regular man in the beginning who got the command from Allah and were able to live his life as a prophet by spreading his words. As people have not physically seen Allah, people have made statues and looked prophets as gods. In order to prevent this, the precaution that they took was not to draw the prophet Muhammad into an image.
Third, rather than focusing on the physical look of a prophet which has nothing to do with the spirituality and holiness of their own teachings, learning from their actions and their messages are the much more important than the how they look and so they do not really bother to make one for them as their appearance does not provide any factor which would affect their believe. In conclusion, Muslims value accuracy of the one who they respect and do not want them to look or be stated in a different way than they actually were. As information of Muhammad is limited and people are not able to make a perfect image of him, so rather than making a false impression of the one who they
