Why Canada Is A Phenomenal Culture
Canada is a land of immigrants, a nation of fresh starts and new lives. Built on hopes and dreams, Canada is a land of diversity. It is a country of cultures woven together to create an intricate and spindling tapestry. A history in which every stitch is a different story and no two the same. It is astonishing to note that many people from different backgrounds and heritages found a common positive attribute and united in a country that celebrated differences. What were the factors that drew them here? Perhaps the promise of a new life or the safe environment. It could have been the famous healthcare system. Canada is a new start, a magnet, a land of opportunities. There are many reasons why Canada is a phenomenal country, and why its citizens …show more content…
Through the act of doing this, Canada has diluted and dissipated the divisiveness of ignorance. Instead, it encourages communication and understanding between cultures that radically contrast with varying perspectives. This acceptance gives Canadians a feeling of self-confidence, pride, security, and inspires open-mindedness. It is important to note that Canada recognizes each man and woman as equal before the law, despite race, heritage, ancestry, place of origin, and beliefs. They are all held to the same rights and freedoms, guaranteed by the Canadian Constitution. Freedoms and rights that citizens of other countries are potentially deprived of as their governments take no action to provide them. Whilst countries such as China or North Korea abolish their people's basic freedoms of speech and thought, Canadians are free to speak their minds and hold their beliefs, whatever they may be. A major pull factor for Canada is the health care system. Unlike its southern counterpart, Canada provides universal free access to health care for its citizens and has a heightened infant mortality rate and life expectancy. Nevertheless, while the Canadian healthcare system is flawed, the health system is designed to put people, not profits, first. In Canada, coverage is not tied to a job

WHY IS IT GREAT TO BE CANADIAN? Canada can be described as a cultural mosaic with kind people, a strong economy, great Prime Minister and social and legal equality, making it great to be Canadian. Canada’s topography is spectacular, you can go from oceans to lakes and from deserts to rainforests all in a day's drive, or drive across this vast nation and experience waves surging onto shore, fields of wheat dancing in the wind, cobble stone roads where Canada's first settlers had a dream for a new nation, and cliffs looking out onto what seems an endless sea. The beauty of my country makes me proud. Canada is the least racist country in the world, in my opinion. Ethnic backgrounds are mixed which makes Canada hard to define. Every culture has their own unique qualities and strengths; in Canada their qualities have merged to become one. This new nationality created from blended backgrounds is Canadian. In other countries a lot of people don’t accept ethnic minorities. In Canada, we treasure the various cultures that reside here. The more ethnic background we incorporate into our society the richer we will…

Canada is a nation built on immigration. While for many years, most immigrants were from European countries, the recent waves of immigration often include immigrants from South Asian, sub-Saharan and middle eastern countries. These recent immigrants do not have the same experience than the French, the Irish or the Italian earlier in the twentieth century. The reason for this is that they have a much different culture. In fact, integration is ‘easier’ in a western country is easier when one is christian and caucasian for instance. However, many recent immigrants are muslims, and are non-caucasian. These immigrants and refugees also often come from traditional societies. As a consequence, they come from societies where norms, values and gender…

It is the knowledge and high regard of their roots and sense of belonging at home, school, place of work, or place of worship, to name only a few, that strengthens their feelings of who they are as Canadians. If someone has been described as Canadian, it means that he is a part of Canadian society. Canadians are free. They have the freedom to think for themselves, speak what they wish, and live their lives to the fullest, in turn having certain collective ideas, traits, and qualities. Saxonville Sausage Case

What is the current situation? Saxonville is a family company from Ohio has existed for seventy years, it produces a range of pork sausage, and they have three types of products: breakfast sausage, bratwurst and Vivio sausage. Products are sold in all the United States, through national and regional distributors. The firm's revenue is estimated at 1.5 billion dollars in 2005. Since 2004, the company is experiencing difficulties: Saxonville has seen two of their three main products face growth problems (people were starting to eat sausages on more special occasions, which damaged the breakfast sausage growth, and were also eating more often inside the house, which damaged the brats growth), an underperformance with a double digit revenue decline for consequences; the company ranked out eight national breakfast sausage brands. The line that is still experiencing fast growth is Vivio Brand (italian sausage), available in only 16% of the nation's large supermarkets. The senior management uses Ann Banks to develop the “Italian Opportunity”, to create a positioning that would not lead to the cannibalization of Saxonville’s products, that enabled the brand to be a national one and, most important, a brand that met customer’s needs. This lack of positioning is due to a non-conducting market research on the Italian sausage custome by the senior management since the business was growing. How was the research methodology determined? Develop a research design and explain what behaviors, demographics, and lifestyle components you deem important and why. Saxonville Sausage didn't know their target consumer and the research methodology will learn it. Method combines qualitative and quantitative ways through four steps. The first three stages establish the qualitative research which bring out ideas and give the foundations to understand the target customers. The first step was to target customers to…
