Why Catholic Education Is Important To Me

A Catholic education is important to me for four reasons. I know that a Catholic education, especially one at St. Joseph Cottleville, has helped me in my past, is helping me now, and will help me in my future. Another thing is personal stories that have influenced and inspired me to live out my life as a daughter of Christ, reminded me what a big part of my life God is, and jump-started my drive to be a virtuous and proud Catholic. Starting my faith at St. Joe’s as a kindergartener gave me a surplus amount of outlets and opportunities for my faith as I continued to grow in each grade. As I grew older my teachers helped me take advantage of these opportunities which, now that I look back, has influenced me to keep going with my Catholic studies. The help I have received in the past has really been important to me. Because I grew up learning about the the faith, I am fortunate enough to be able to spread the views and teachings of the church. That is why my Catholic education is important to me. On April 25 I will receive the sacrament of Confirmation. That is only one of the reasons my ongoing Catholic education is helping me in my everyday life. Every time I learn something I feel like it helps me grow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Joseph will most definitely have a positive influence on my life. The education will help me live fully my life of faith and help me achieve sainthood. I have strong belief in the fact that, since I know God and am strengthening my relationship with him everyday, I will have someone to fall back on when times are tough and someone to praise in days of rejoice.
