All they care about is the violent and inappropriate media that makes the Tell-Tale Heart look like a children’s novel. I mean, half of the kids at my school have a facebook, kik, instagram, or any type of social media account. If you can let your kid have a facebook account or play violent video games like GTA or Mortal Kombat, you can let them read the Tell-Tale Heart.
Thirdly, the Tell-Tale Heart is one of the engaging stories I’ve ever read in my school and probably meets the standards of many schools in the United States. Many colleges and even high schools expect kids to more accustomed to these types of books. Plus, there are like many amazing careers that need us to be more mature and comfortable to these situations like a private investigator or a surgeon. Would you really want your kid to scream or faint every time he or she sees blood or a dead body until they’re like 30-50 years old?
To sum it up, middle school students should be able to read the Tell-Tale Heart and many other books like it. Now it may seem that it could turn middle schoolers into a mini Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees, but some kids are probably into these types of books and they would love to read them. Like I said, the Tell-Tale Heart, is an interesting and engaging story in my opinion, so take this suggestion from a fellow middle schooler and let your children read the Tell-Tale
