Why College Is Not Worth It

College is worth the money because it prepares you for the job you want. However, most people have gone bankrupt trying to afford college but, it is proven that college graduates make more money.

If anyone wanted to be a doctor, lawyer, scientist, etc they would need an advanced degree to learn about the job they want. “Construction workers, police officers, plumbers, retail salespeople and secretaries, among others, make significantly more with a degree than without one. Why? Education helps people do higher-skilled work, get jobs with better- paying companies or open their own businesses” (New York Times). An educated employee will have a more advanced skill set and be more valuable in their position. Companies are also more likely to hire educated employees with a degree to benefit their business. “Yes, college is worth it, and it’s not even close.
