During that time, the united states were concerned about the Soviet Union’s ideology, which it was expanding furiously across the European nations. Communism was defined as a significant paranoia for the United States, compared to the play concerning the witchcraft paranoia that Miller created. Two years before Miller’s play, the government launched confidential investigations in regards to several suspected names that are related to Communism. After the play was performed, the United States targeted Arthur for his Communist ideas by leading substantial investigations and conspiracies.
