During the year before Jackie Rodinson, there were few African-American players in the major baseball leagues. While the national association did not have a written agreement to bar African Americans from the sport,t he did have an attribution of gentlemen's agreement to keep professorial segregation. (information obtained from Document. 1) Hence, the division of races, blacks that wanted to play baseball created their own teams like the ( Pittsburgh Crawfords from Pennsylvania and the Harrisburg Colored Giants. Eisenhower a letter making a stand about Blacks being patient for a long time. That they couldn’t be patient anymore because they have been the most patient of all people. He became the voice of the black people. By seeing him speak out people started to think like him, seeing all the racial discrimination towards blacks. Recognizing what Jackie Robinson said, the president tried to fix the rules to his best capabilities but failed because of the stubborn mindset of racists.
