Turns out that they grew up together and went to the same church together. The freedom riders was a big deal because if it was a success then it would have ended all racism and everybody would have been looked at the same and no different. The freedom riders ended in 1965 so this civil rights movement only lasted for 4 years which is not to bad. The freedom rides made the supreme court so mad that the supreme court went to desperate measures to stop the civil rights movement from being a success. This civil rights movement was one of the biggest and most important movements of history yet it ended in one of the shortest periods of time. As the busses were driving on the streets tons of citizens formed riots and threw stuff at the busses and didn't want the buses in their sight. After that incident they was back on the road for a little while then they were arrested for trespassing and violating a state . They got arrested in a birmingham, they were arrested by Bull connor and jailed. Bull connor arrested them because he said he does not feel that the apartment of justice is worth anything. In my opinion the freedom riders were the most brave people in history for the simple fact that even though everyone went against them and hated them they still did what they believed in and did what they had to do because they were determined to be free and and conquer their dreams. When they made it to their destination they honestly thought that they were going to be killed but it turns out that they just got thrown in jail again and I bet they were so relieved.
