problems, the reconstruction documented the thirteenth, fourteenth, and the fifteenth Amendments but these were not fully acknowledged. Slaves were freed but they were not completely accepted into society. The reconstruction failed to reform the social problems and the congress lost interests to the south after the reconstruction act. The segregation laws were implemented in most of southern states and it could not prevent the violence against African Americans. In paper, it seems like the reconstruction was a successful but it failed to enforce policies for political, economic, and social problems. The congress has failed to accomplish the reconstruction in a way that Abraham Lincoln may have intent to do. The overall reconstruction only further separated the racial groups, political parties, and the racism remained unresolved question throughout the modern society.
