Alliances had helped caused WW1. Alliances had helped cause WW1. Alliances had helped cause WW1 because
everyone felt like they had to get a friend just in case a war were to happen. Alliances would ensure that if a war were to happen they wouldn't be the only one fighting with the country who declared war on them. Countries would make as much alliances as they could so they could have more people fighting on their side. Countries who wouldn't even be in the war would be dragged in the war because of an alliance.
Another cause for WW1 was imperialism. Imperialism had caused Europeans to compete with each other for other countries. The more resources Europeans gained from other countries. The more resources Europeans gained from other countries they felt like they needed more. With the ongoing competition to imperialize other countries would soon make Europeans start to distrust each other. This sense of distrust was because they believed that other Europeans would take their land or plot on the land they were thinking of taking.
WW1 was one of the most devastating wars anyone had seen at the time. The two main causes of WW1 was were alliances and Imperialism. Alliances had caused countries in Europe to split up and distrust each other who weren't in the same alliance. Imperialism had caused distrust between all the Europeans. In my opinion Europe could've avoided WW1 if they just signed a treaty of peace and kept all European countries with the same amount of power and limited land while doing imperialism.WW1 was on of the most devastating wars the world has ever seen.
