Why Did The United States Win The Vietnam War?

The Vietnam War The Vietnam War was a strung-out, vicious, and costly war that went on between the communist government of North Vietnam and South Vietnam. The Northern army was supported by Soviet Union, China, and other communist countries. The Southern army was supported by the United States of America, Australia, Thailand, and other anti-communist countries. During this time, the Cold War was also going on between the United States and the Soviet Union and just added on the intensity of the Vietnam War. During the Vietnam War, the French colonies got involved and fought their own segment against their Viet Minh opponents in the south. Most of their fighting took place in Tonkin, a city in northern Vietnam. However, it did lightly spread all the way around the entire country and even into the neighboring areas. The reason this war began was that the Northern Vietnamese army wanted to unify their country again and France didn't support them. The Northern Vietnamese army did win this war when the French colonies surrendered.
He was strictly communist and formed many Communist parties including Viet Minh and the Indochinese Communist Party. When Ho was starting to try and form his Communist government, he was arrested and in prison for eighteen months by the anti-Communist government. The strongly anti-Communist South Vietnamese government and its leader Ngo Dinh Diem refused to let Ho get away with this and got the United States on board as its ally. There were many armed attacks and fights and was finally called off by the US president, Lyndon Johnson. He suggested that everyone begin talking about peace and it stayed that way until Ho died. Once he died, the US retaliated and Vietnamese Communist forces took
