Pearl Harbor is a U.S naval base near Honolulu Hawaii. On December 7th, 1941, just before 8am on that Sunday morning, hundreds of Japanese fighter planes descended on the base, where they managed to destroy or damage nearly 20 American natal vessels, including eight battleships, and over 300 airplanes. More than 2400 Americans died in attack, including civilians and another 1000 people wounded. At that time, the war was happened in the Europe and Asia since 1939. Because of World War 1, many American were thinking “No more war”. Therefore, America was neutrality nation at that time. During the world war 2, president Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill held several personal conferences. One of famous conference is Atlantic Conference and Charter. Atlantic charter was a pivotal policy statement which defined World War 2 on August 1941 which defined the allied goal for the post war world. The leaders of the UK and the US drafted the work and all the allies of World War 2 later confirmed it. As I wrote before, he wanted to join in the war, however, over 94 percents of American was thinking that don’t want to join in the war anymore because of World War 1. Therefore, government tried to make neutrality nation through Neutrality Act and the Atlantic conference and charter. When the president election, President Roosevelt promised that America was not going to join the war to get vote from Anti-war voter. However, In January 6, 1941.
