relationship with Great Britain since then if it was out of the self-interest of the writers and signers of the Declaration of Independence, they would not care about stopping Great Britain since they would probably want Great Britain for protection from Indians etc. Also at the end of the Declaration, it states that “We mutually pledge to each other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.” This is showing the interdependence of the colonists, and back then, those four things meant a lot to the colonists and other people around the world. Pierce DiMare also agreed with me stating; “Yes, and also there is an evident tone of anger in the writing, one may tell that Jefferson was outraged and he explained lots of things that were also his own opinion.” I have interpreted this that he (Pierce) is talking about how angry Jefferson his in his opinion that is based off the peoples. So I say that Thomas Jefferson and the signers of the Declaration of Independence did this out of moral outrage and my answer still stands.
