Why Do Freedoms Need To Be Continually Won?

There are many arguments, and debates that sweep the nation, one of which, has not yet been heard by many people. Do freedoms need to be continually won? Are freedoms permanent once achieved the first time? Many people have many different thoughts on the topic, others don't seem to care, but I however, believe freedoms need to be continually won throughout generations. I have this opinion for a variety of reasons.

I believe freedoms can be continuously won throughout generations. In today's society, we have many freedoms that people generations ago did not have. Although we have them now, freedoms can be taken away in an instant. Perhaps something may happen throughout our country that may cause us to be forced to give up our freedoms
