Why Do Kids Love Giraffes
I think the book is best for kids who love giraffes or wants to do more research into the facts of giraffes. The book can also be great for kids who wants to read about giraffes for fun. The book may not be so good for kids who do not have interest in giraffes. Or may not like to further on read the topic of giraffes. My evidence that supports my claim is, in the informational text it explains all about giraffes. It supports my claim because if the people/kids like giraffes it can be a great book for them. If people/kids want to research more about giraffes it can also be a great book because the book is full of information about giraffes. The book may not be great for other readers who have opposite opinions about giraffes because the

I didn’t personally like the book I thought it wasn’t very exciting. Maybe if the book was more exciting or had more twist or turns it would be more enjoyable. It did change my attitude about boys being smarter than girls but even when Calpurnia was talk all science to her brother he had no idea what she was talking about. I probably would not recommend this book unless you're more into having the same idea throughout the whole…

In summary, the paper by the unknown author and by Brandon Jorritsma seems similar. But, the use of sources throughout the writing and their effects is what makes the two writings different. The use of sources adds evidence and support to writing while not using sources concludes that the information present is not reliable. Reliable sources are applied by quoting and paraphrasing. Furthermore, sources have the power to enhance writing by making it more persuasive in contrast to sources not enhancing writing by making it less…

    The Giraffe Analysis

In all honesty “The Giraffe” illustrates various human characteristics of the giraffe; however the humans in the story are not really welcoming although the giraffe shares similar characteristics. The townspeople dislike the giraffe which evidently depicts their self-obsessed behaviour. The author is able to successfully illustrate the self-obsessed behaviour of humans by using a giraffe, a harmless animal that would never hurt anyone. Thus, Senesi was successful as the giraffe is an innocent character compared to the humans because…

We get information from reading books. Without them we wouldn’t get any information or learn new words. Without books we wouldn’t know what happened back then or read autobiographies of what was happening during Slavery, Holocaust, WWI, WWII, and many more historical events that occurred long ago. For example, when Montag went to Faber about books and Faber told him how books tell the truth about life and expressions from the writer,…

LESSON OVERVIEW: In this lesson, teachers first lead students in a discussion around the guiding question: What kinds of sources should you use? Next, teachers help students to understand that no matter their task – be it informational report writing or argument – their information should be fact-based and the sources reliable. To do so, teachers conduct an activity around a fictitious site to highlight the importance of using unbiased, reliable, and accurate information. There are opportunities…

As my intended major is in the scientific field, it is vital that I am proficient in all aspects of Outcome 2. Outcome 2 deals with a writer’s ability to read, analyze, and synthesize complex texts, and the writer’s ability to purposely incorporate evidence from the texts in a way that effectively supports not only the authors writing, but their overall complex claim. A writer’s claim is only as good as the evidence that supports it, so it is vital for the author to incorporate scholarly and peer reviewed evidence that advance the writers purpose, and help to achieve the overall goal of the literary work. A writer cannot make an effective argument without having reliable sources of evidence to support the literary work as a whole.…

As a young child, I was always aware of books and the difference between books for children and books for adults. I would not say that I grew up in a family of devout readers, but I did grow up in a family of individuals who appreciated the value of books. Although my parents never seemed to have time to simply sit and read frequently, my mother had engaged with college-level texts in her adulthood, and both of my parents saw the benefit of exposing my sister and me to books at an early age. There was always a bookshelf in my house packed full of textbooks and enormous tomes with dusty, creased spines. We also had a full set of the Encyclopedia Britannica (which I recently found out is going out of print). It would be an exaggeration to say that these books intrigued me because they represented knowledge. However, they intrigued me because although they sat there and collected dust for years, my mother refused to throw them away. It was impressed upon me very early on that books were important, and that throwing them away was wrong. I did not get it completely at that point, especially because those books were incomprehensible to a four or five year old, but I understood that it was something that would be important when I was older.…
