Why Do Scientists Use DNA Fingerprinting
Scientists use DNA fingerprinting to identify individuals by the genetic code. Genetic code is set of rules giving the correspondence between nucleotides triplets (codons) in mRNA and amino acids in protein. Each person fingerprint is unique and no one has the same one.
DNA is replicated to repair tissue and help me grow. This occurs through the process of mitosis. Mitosis is “type of cell division that result in two daughter cells each having the same number and kind of chromosomes as parent nucleus, typical of ordinary tissue growth,” according to Google. DNA in the nucleus goes to the RNA to protein synthesis in the cytoplasm.
