Do people have a right to end their lives whenever they choose to? While some people feel that ending a life is wrong and that no one has that right only god, I too do not feel that people should be able to end their life whenever they feel like it However I do think there should be extenuating circumstances that does allow one to choose to end their life if prior approved by the person that is dying and a professional that is qualified like a doctor, and they were at the end stages of life and were suffering then a doctor should be able to help them to end their life. Because it stops the persons suffering and it helps the family members to cope knowing their loved one did not suffer at the end. Do people have a right to end their lives whenever they choose to?
I do not feel that people should be able to end their life whenever they feel like it. People get depressed and think about ending their lives all the time, however most do not do it. I think if it was to be ok for them to kill themselves it would be a waste their lives have more meaning than they realize in that moment of despair. I do although believe that it should be legal for a person to have a legal arrangement with their family and doctor that states that if they are near death and are suffering they should be allowed to end their life with the help of a doctor, because it stops the persons suffering and it helps the family members to cope knowing their loved one did not suffer at the
end. Additionally, if someone was brain dead and would not be able to function, then the family should be allowed to have a doctor end their life. I feel it would not be right to keep someone’s body alive knowing that that person is never going to wake up at that point I feel it is just for the survivors benefit and it is not helping them either.
Finally the only way a life should be prolonged if the person is brain dead or are suffering is if there is a possible cure, or if the person is a pregnant female then the baby has a right to live. There should be a clause that says that if someone who is dying or brain dead is pregnant than they should be allowed to live so that the baby get a chance to live.
So, do people have a right to end their lives whenever they choose to? While some people feel that ending a life is wrong and that no one has that right only god, I too do not feel that people should be able to end their life whenever they feel like it, unless they are at the end of their life and suffering, or the person is brain dead.
