Why Do Toucans Beaks So Long
Everyday, a new baby toucan is born, out of his home, a hollow hole in a tree. They come from a shade of glossy and white eggs, and the toucans look very slimy. The baby toucans’ beaks are huge, so as they age they must grow into it. They grow up living in a nest, and they don’t usually learn to fly unless it’s necessary, like if they live in a tree way up high, and in which case toucans jump from tree to tree to meet their needs. Sometimes toucans learn to fly by quickly fluttering their wings back and forth, but they never travel too afar. Baby toucans usually need to depend on their mothers to obtain food, and they eat a variety of foods including lizards, insects, and sometimes other birds’ eggs. Why are toucans beaks so long?
