and they can't get a job because they might not have an I.D or personal identification. It’s up to us to help save a person's life one dollar at a time. There are many things we can do to help the homeless we could give them money, food, or even temporary shelter. Food is probably the second most important thing you could give a homeless person because they might not have enough money to buy some food and they could be days without food. An average 30 year old male should eat about 2,600 calories a day you would need to eat 5.49 mcdonald's chicken sandwiches $3.49 a sandwich or half of a round table meat supreme pizza worth $20 Do you really think that homeless people would get $20 or more for just begging on the street. For how people act today I would be surprised if they even got $5. Another thing that we would need to provide homeless people is money because with money they can buy whatever they want when they want. Who doesn't like free money but homeless people would probably like it more than you because they need it more. If you don't feel comfortable giving a homeless person money there are some things you could do. You could give the money and walk away and spy on them to see what they do with the money and if they actually get food you could give them more if they get drugs just ignore them. Another thing that you could do is ask them if they want a ride to a restaurant or a grocery store to get supplies. Or you could walk with them to the nearest grocery store and or restaurant. And probably the most important things we need to help homeless people with is shelter. Shelter is something everybody needs someplace to stay during the night or even during the day. Mother nature can kill anything in a matter of seconds you could also get very sick from being outside. Vulnerable homeless people should not be allowed to sleep on the streets or outside. We would no longer have the meaning homelessness if we had more homeless shelters. Would you Deny a home to someone because they were different?
Many people are being denied a home due to the way they look or act. Up to 40% of the homeless youth population is LBTGQ and up to 32% of homeless youth is african american. Why should kids or teens even be homeless in the first place all of this is just not right. People are not only letting kids and teens become homeless but are also discriminating against them because of who they are. Just because someone is different then you doesn't mean you should treat them differently. Only $195 million is set to go help homeless youth in the united states. I do not think that is enough money for every kid/teen that is homeless in the united states. There are over 2 million homeless youth each year in the united states. The homeless youth is so vulnerable to predators like people, Wild animals and the weather. Would you help a homeless or poor person when you saw one here are
Some ways we could help the homeless or poor is to help train to get them on their feet. We could help teach them about financing, Parenting and even help them get a job. If we can help teach the homeless these three things then the homeless population would guarantee to go down. If we can help people with financing. Then they might not make a mistake about selling there stuff for a certain price. Which stocks to buy. Why you should or shouldn't mortgage your house and etc. If we can help the homeless with parenting than their kids would be able to have a bright future. And maybe the kids would be able to get a home before the parents too and help the parents get on their feet. Another thing that we can do is help homeless people train for jobs because at jobs they can earn money which then they can by many things to help get them on their feet.
According to Homeless slo “Some reasons why people do not help the homeless is because they think it will either cost too much, Providing resources will just drive unwanted attention to the town.
And many people in general just do not trust random people on the street no matter how sick or poor. When you're helping a random person out on the street sometimes you're not able to tell if they are actually poor and homeless or if they are just trying to beg for money to get drugs.” Would you be willing to give a random person $5 and not know what they may do with it?” In conclusion now
How would you feel if you were homeless and you couldn't find a place that would accept you. Or you had to walk 30.2 Miles just to get to the nearest homeless shelters but yet you have no map to know how to get there. That is how many homeless people in michigan feel Because majority of the homeless shelters on on the east. Many LBTGQ people are either denied a home due to the way they are or are unable to join homeless shelters because of the way they act. We need to help the homeless by providing temporary resources, ensuring equality, and providing training to become independent. Are you willing to help The homeless even if it does mean self
sacrifices?
