For example, an advantage of coal is that the energy it provides is an affordable energy source because of the coal's stable price compared to other fuel sources. But a disadvantage to go with this is that there are many people who are exposed to coal and its emissions. These people have a higher hazard of suffering from asthma and other air passageway inflammation situations. Breathing in coal dust or ash is also known to be a cause of lung cancers over a long period. There is a disease called “Black Lung” that can impact total lung capacity, is incurable, and in most cases, leads to death. These people plainly die of suffocation. As you can see it is a huge problem that the people who are manufacturing and mining the coal that we use, are dying because of the radiation caused by it. Other advantages include that coal is easier to burn and produces high energy upon combustion. Coal is also a reliable energy source and very inexpensive which is why it is almost all our populations main energy source. But as you know with advantages come disadvantages.
