Why Do I Want to Become a Teacher?
Everyone has progressed to where they are in life because they had a teacher. A teacher is defined as someone who gives instruction and communicates skills. Our children are our future, and they need to be prepared for the future or they will not be successful in the working world. Teaching makes a difference in them, because it gives them tools to help them be successful in the future. I would like to tell you why I would like to become a special education teacher and what has led me to this decision and why I want to become a teacher. I have chosen to become a teacher because I myself am a product of someone whom I consider to be the best teacher in the world. As a child in Virginia, I was inspired by a wonderful coach and teacher named Mr. Scott Nunnaly. Mr. Nunnaly taught me that any dream was possible. Through my childhood and in to my adult life I have had other important teachers who inspire me to accomplish my dreams. They make their students feel good about themselves and they help the youth realize and fulfill their dreams. Being a special education teacher will have so many joys and challenges. Some of the challenges of becoming a special education teacher are helping students overcome every day challenges. I have often heard that it takes a special person to become a teacher with students that have

During high school I was always the smartest kid in my special ed. classes and so many of my classmates turned to me for help. I never let them cheat off me, as I knew they would never learn and that I could get in trouble, but I did help them understand concepts that were difficult for them, I taught them little tricks and tips on how to better understand the assignments, and whenever I could, I helped them out with their homework. My teachers always loved me for that and of course always enjoyed helping. This is the reason I wanted to become a special ed. teacher because I am able to understand them at a much deeper level since I too suffer from it. With the experience I got from helping my peers I Strongly believe that I can make a difference…

I want to be a teacher for several different reasons. I initially decided teaching was for me when I was in middle school. I had an amazing teacher that helped me through a lot. She made a huge impact on my life, and I knew then that I wanted to be able to do the same for other kids. I later went on to have children of my own, which gave me even more reason to become a teacher. And even with the economy the way it is today, there are actually a lot of opportunities for teaching given the wide variety of jobs a teaching degree can obtain. I also understand the responsibility that comes with teaching and that the job doesn’t end when you leave the classroom. That is why I respect the teaching field as much as I do. I know I still have a long way to go before I get to my teaching career but I feel it will all be worth it when I get there.…
