Why Does Hamlet's Desire To Kill His Father

The play focuses on Hamlet and his desire to seek revenge upon the death of his father from his uncle. In Act 1 Hamlet is very much depressed about his father's sudden death and his emotions are all over the place because only months after his death his uncle claudius got married to his mother. When his father was killed he eventually comes back as a ghost to speak to him and tell him the real story behind his death. It is said that he was struck with a snake bite but he is told that his own brother had killed him. by knowing this news, this caused Hamlet to accept the fact that he would have to murder the king, to get revenge, follow through with his plan and to let his father die in vein.

Hamlet had only put his trust in one person, Horito. After the ghost came to visit him he had told Horatio that if he comes again to respect him because the knowledge of the Ghost was something that no one else in Denmark was aware of and they needed him. He finally started to take action and do what he could to prove that claudius was in fact the one who had murdered his father. When hamlet starting putting two and two together and started making sense of everything,
“O, all you host of heaven!.... that one many smile and smile and be a villain. at least i am sure may be in denmark.” Hamlet was hesitant about killing the king because he has never killed yet before and his conscience kept telling him not too and he kept contemplating all of the lies that claudius was telling him. His father's Ghost was very impatient for revenge, he kept telling hamlet to kill him now but Hamlet had to think about the consequences and how he would do it without bringing him and the family down and when people are put in stressful situations they tend to do the first thing that comes to their mind be it bad or
