Why Does One Manifest Positivity?
During periods of high stress, manifesting positivity can have the ability to help mentally, physically, and physiologically. The question at hand, how does one “manifest positivity” can be explained in three big steps: start the day positive, end the day positive, and with everything in between, have the ability to rebound effectively from the negative that is brought about. Though positivity can be built up, the main focal point of embodying a positive mindset or outlook is maintaining that said mindset. Furthermore, being deliberate and prudent in the actions taken to be positive are essential. For example, as simply as taking a moment before getting out of bed in the morning to drink a glass of water or stretch demonstrates activities that …show more content…
Exercise serves as a de-stressor activating the hormone, oxytocin. Also known as the hug/love/cuddle hormone, oxytocin can be induced in a number of ways. Aside from physical exercise, the use of touch and emotional support can have significant effects. The extent of one’s social interconnectedness can provide psychological and physical support that can aid in manifesting positivity. Moreover, the use of physical contact by someone liked or even loved can provide added reinforcement in the release the love hormone, oxytocin. Choosing to be around individuals who are in of themselves positive can be influential; similar feels can be brought about by interacting with other mammals as well (e.g. cats, dogs). In like manner, imaginational exposure with the use of the five senses (touch, sight, hearing, smell, and in some cases taste) may induce oxytocin though it may not be to the same degree as physical contact. To circle back around to the focus of this essay, manifesting positivity can happen in a number of ways. Understandably, mood is largely dependent on what one is thinking
