Why Girls Are Smarter Than Boys
Why Girls are Smarter than Boys
By Tyler Bradford

It seems like girls have always been smarter than boys. Throughout the years girls have proven to excel with their brains. For example, a woman was the one to discover DNA instead of a boy. Girls are hard workers, mature individuals, and more aware than any boy has dreamed of being. Being hard working is just something most females are. They work hard to keep themselves organized. For example, my mom has always been the one to scold me for having an unorganized room, not my father. Girls are dedicated to getting their work done. The girls in my class have always done their homework and have had it ready by the time class starts, while majority of the boys are scrambling for answers at the last minute. Effort is also something girls have leaning towards them. A lot of girls will take ten minutes to do one problem just so they know they’ll get it right. Maturity is another key factor girls have over boys. When it comes to keeping up with their work, girls are number one. Not once have I seen a girl who didn’t have specific places for everything or a way to keep track of things. Girls are more passionate about their work as well as their grades. For instance, the harder they work the better they feel towards themselves. Boys on the other hand don’t need this type of comfort. Being trustworthy is another trait that most girls acquire. Never are girls found cheating. Without awareness, a girl wouldn’t be a girl. Girls are always aware of what’s happening in class. For example, when boys don’t understand what a teacher has said he usually turns to a girl for an explanation. Girls are thorough in their classes so they can pass. This is because most girls want to go to college. Being off-task is taboo for girls, they are always doing what they’re supposed to, when their supposed to. In essence girls are just harder working, more aware, and more mature than boys. In the end boys always look to girls for an explanation of what is going on because they are that much smarter. At least boys are better athletes than girls.

The gap is sometimes small, but over time slight advantages accumulate into big ones.” Girls are most likely to succeed in schools over boys. Many say this is because our educational system has become over feminized. Meaning, many teachers are more sympathetic to girls because they are quite and sit still for hours on end. I think women excel at, multitasking, remembering things, and managing things. Women serve has better leaders than men because women can multitask and men really cannot, for example some women have to cook dinner while helping their child with homework. Women also are better about remembering things, we remember birthdays, anniversaries, almost anything that is important, we remember. Boys on the other hand are alway forgetting birthdays and anniversaries. Women are also really good and managing things and being organized. Not all women, but most keep things very neat, clean, and easy to find. Whereas men they just throw something down or just put everything in one…

There is a lot of compelling evidence to support the view that changes in the education system has resulted in differences in educational achievement between males and females. There is no denying that the statistics show girls are outperforming boys at every level in education, but the question is whether this is largely related to changes in the assessment process and the way each of the genders is educated or whether there are other factors causing the differences.…

The two articles suggest that girls are better at boys at skill based subjects (BTEC SUBJECTS) however looking at it from a different angle I realised boys are better at A levels which shows boys are smarter than girls overall as A levels are much harder and intense. People say girls get higher marks in class because they are well behaved however boys get higher grades overall. So does it really matter about the gender? In our contemporary society we have developed different skills both males and females. In our society we have minimal gender stereotypes which can lead to females succeeding as they don’t feel the pressure that they used to feel. (E.G getting married at a young age and not finishing education to in order to look after their home)…

Therefore there is a domination of boys in physical and academic subject and girl’s domination in creative non-academic subjects. This may be because of stereotypes such as girls are expected to do creative subjects such as food technology to teach them cooking and boys to be the academic one that does technical, physical subjects. Children tend to therefore more confident in subject that there gender dominates as they engage to these subjects more. This means gender domination as there family members reflect this and they have the same expectation to follow this. Also there are tasks that tend to be abstract and teaching styles formal, with few opportunities for group work which girls tend to favour.…

Overall, the sex differences between boys and girls in the first year of life are minimal. Boys may be a bit more active or fussier and girls more physically mature and less prone to physical problems, but that may be the extent of the significant differences. Mothers have a tendency to ignore more of their son's emotional outbursts in comparison to their daughters' outbursts. Boys may be rough-housed or played with in a more aggressive manor as well. This goes in line with stereotyping males as more hardy or tough and girls as gentle and soft. A parent can influence their child into these gender roles by the way they discipline. They may be harder on a boy than a girl for the exact same behavior. "Children see what their parents do. Children learn when they try to imitate their parents (Putnam, Myers-Walis; Love, p. 1)." For example, a boy may grow up seeing his father fix things around the house and his…
