If you have, they came from a group of matings brought by Lord Tweedmouth from Scotland, in 1864. Lord Tweedmouth was a Liberal Politician and served as first Lord of the Admiralty from 1905 to 1908. He was also known as Sir Dudley Marjoribanks. Lord Tweedmouth named these dogs Tweed Water Spaniels. His nephew, Lord Ilchester, also breeded them.
