Poverty most common in India, South-East Asia, Africa and South America. It has affected so many people's lives and has now changed them eternally, most importantly are the children. Children that have gone through or are going through poverty are the ones that will be scarred for life. According to American Psychological association, “Poorer children and teens are also at greater risk for several negative outcomes such as poor academic achievement, school dropout, abuse and neglect, behavioral and socioemotional problems, physical health problems, and developmental delays.” which is in all honesty is true. These children are the ones that are affected the most and will be for the rest of their lives, because of poverty they are going to age and all these outcomes will eventually affect them. This has become the one of the worlds biggest problems. Poverty started far back in history when the lack of education started and the population around the world started growing. Everyone started dropping out of school and not wanting to work their outcome was losing everything. There was no money to provide food, clothing, or shelter for themselves or their children. According to india celebration, “The main causes of poverty in India are growing population, poor agriculture, corruption, old customs, huge gap between poor and rich people, unemployment, illiteracy, epidemic diseases”. As I was researching about poverty, I found that a huge percentage of people in India rely on agriculture which is poor and is the cause poverty. The india celebration also states “More population means more food, money and houses. In the lack of basic facilities, poverty grows more rapidly. Becoming extra rich and extra poor creates a huge widening gap between the rich and the poor people. Rich people are growing richer and poor people are growing poorer which creates an economic gap between the two.” it's true, the more the population is growing is the more the country itself is going to be in need. More people equals more housing for families, clothing for children and parents, and food to feed each human being. And if india were ever in a drought (which i'm sure has happened before) everyone would be in trouble. All the crops that are getting people through the day are going to be gone. Agriculture in india is an important part of living. It has affected the country itself, and most importantly the human beings. Causing parents and children to become malnourished, lack of education, child labor, and diseases of all types transmitted by the family or through the
