I’m fortunate enough to be able to attend a high school that offers the perfect vocational class for me, Early Childhood Education. At this time, I’m enrolled in the first year dual credit class. This class has allowed me to gain experience in the classroom with children and be able to get ahead of the game by earning college credits while still in high school. While I enjoy just being able to work with children, I would also like to add more to the mix. I also have a vital interest in sign language. These opportunities include getting a head start in my career and putting more money into my future plans. I can get a head start on my career by graduating college earlier. This will allow me to have more time to develop a more stable career. Then, I would be able to make a difference in more children’s lives and be able to do it sooner. The money I save from earning the college credits while still in high school will allow me to build a brighter future. I want to open my own daycare and the money I save will allow me to open it sooner due to having a head start of saving money. While money is an important aspect to building a future, knowing what you want to do in the future is also a crucial factor. Having hands on experience with children has helped me decide that I would enjoy pursuing a future with children. I was able to view whether or not I could handle being with children all day and if it would be something that I would enjoy to do. Overall, the enjoyment and savings I have earned from this class has helped me come up with a path for my

The puzzle pieces were starting to scatter apart when I got notified by my second grade teacher that I had to take that recuperation exam for math class. It wasn't a surprise, back then I wasn’t that efficient at math. I needed support, so I took tutoring in math courses for about a month and studied the whole content that I took for my second grade year. If I didn’t pass that test I knew I would be unsatisfied. That way I feel it’s worse than summer school. That's how it is in my country, which takes place in Honduras. I would say it’s tougher, based on the fact that there is major pressure. Besides, who would desire to repeat a school year over again? Definitely not me , I speculated.…

In 1938, a law known as the child labor law was passed rebelling against children and young teens working. Although, the law was passed there are a few things you can still do as a young teen. When I was eleven years old I realized just how much of a passion I had for helping take care of children. In realizing that, I also discovered not many people could not stand all the steps and things you had to do to meet children's needs such as changing diapers, burping babies, dealing with crying and tantrums. Even at a young age I did not mind doing these tasks.…

Sometimes my parents would leave overnight to go on a little vacation by themselves and I would watch my siblings overnight. I also use to babysit for other people around our community as I was growing up. As I got older and started to think about college, I knew that I wanted to attend a great school that would have a program for Education.…
