Why I Live At The Po Analysis
In the story “Why I live at the P.O, there are two central characters. Their names are “sister” ad Stella –Rondo. Sister is the town’s postmaster. She is very straight forward, and says what she wants to say. She becomes very jealous of her little sister Stella. I would also describe her as dramatic at times. She gets abused, in a way by her family, and decides she can’t take it. So finally, after so much harsh behavior from her family, she decides to not put up with it anymore. She finally takes up for herself, gets all her belongings, and leaves.
Stella is “sister’s” little sister. She is recently separated from her finance, and it taking care of a child that is adopted. Stella has a very stuck up personality. She wants everything to revolve

    She would later get run out of her home in Laurel after she became the disgrace of the town, town slut, and she loses her job after she attempts to have intimate relationships with her students. These two events leave her homeless and without a job, so in order to survive she decides to call on her younger sister, Stella, who is living in New Orleans with a war veteran.
