This building once the seat of Parliament is now one of the second most-visited tourist attractions in Germany and was built in 1871. To get this project approved, Christo and Jeanne-Claude had to gain the Parliament 's approval. In order to do this, they personally went from office to office, and they wrote many letters to each of the 662 members. On February 25, 1995 the Parliament held a debate and after 70 minutes the project was approved. This was a huge project with 600,000 feet of polypropylene fabric that had to be fireproof and nine miles of rope used. It took seven days to wrap the building and was finished on June 24th. Over five million visitors saw this…

Customers back then were fiercely loyal to your business when you gave them good service in virtually any type of businesses. She examines if the downturn in the economy has something to do with the lowering of the level of customer service or if it has just been happening for a while.…

People throughout the world are blessed with the gift of art. We all ponder how it is accomplished and achieved, but in the end it all comes down to the remarkable artists that craft each work of art. Even though areas in the world house a substantial amount over others, there are still a number of cities that possess a great deal of art. Lucky for us, we live in a metropolitan area, and have a great art museum. In addition to that, it has plenty of it for everyone to admire and observe. The St. Louis art museum is a wonderful gallery of art to wander through. With exhibitions like Monet’s “Water Lilies”, the everyday person gets to get a glimpse of the world around them that have not seen before with their own eyes.…

It has come to my attention that you have concerns with integrating arts into the curriculum. I would like to take this time to show you what I have collected along the way of learning more about how important integrating the arts can be and the positive impact it will have on any classroom and school as a whole. We have been looking for something to help raise test scores, to help students become critical thinkers and to allow for each student to grow as individuals and be prepared in this competitive society. Integrating arts into the curriculum will be our ticket to getting all of these things accomplished. Right now, we have art class isolated as a separate subject. Although I do understand that we should be thankful that the district hasn’t cut our arts program, we should be taking advantage of this by trying to use the arts as a process to connect teaching subjects in the classroom. Teaching through the arts not only supports a positive learning environment, but it will address student-centered learning and will impact the diverse learning needs of each student. I will explain and give examples of significant instructional strategies that are based on practicing integrating the arts along with culturally responsive pedagogy. I will also discuss how students learning styles and multiple perspectives are encouraged. Lastly, I will show evidence of academic and cognitive outcomes of a lesson I have taught using the arts and how the instruction was linked to state standards. My new knowledge and understanding of integrating the arts and multiple intelligence approaches to classroom learning impact my every day teaching and has enabled me to take my teaching to a higher level. As I’ve read in the book, Multiple Intelligences in the Classroom by Thomas Armstrong (2009):…

    Culture and Art Paper

Culture is all the forms of activity in a specific group of people who share traditions. It is the basis of all life. Art is how a person expresses their creativity and can take many forms. The four forms of art are the visual arts, music, literature and architecture. A visual art is anything that you can see and make observations about. The main components used to make visual arts are lines, shapes, textures, mass, form, colors, value and composition. A very common example of visual arts would be paintings. Architecture is also considered to be a form of the visual arts. Architecture is the design and construction of a structure, such as a religious monument. Next, we have literature. Literature is anything that can be read. It is divided into fiction and non-fiction, such as biographies and poetry. A good piece of literature has a plot line, establish a mood, and keep the reader’s interest all throughout the series of events. Lastly is music. Music is anything that can be heard. Music can serve many different purposes, depending on the style of music and the intended audience. For example, someone rocking a baby to sleep would want a soft, soothing type of song rather than a hard rock or metal song, where as someone who was working out would want a fast, upbeat song to keep them going. Overall, an artist strives to tell a story. Everything an artist makes is made to give out a message and it is up to us to determine what that message is. Art keeps society interesting and it changes how society sees things. Art lets us see the point of view of others and not just how we would see things. Art in all of its forms has helped form and change society and also effects how we may adapt to some things. Art and culture would not be complete with one another in our world.…

    What Is My Identity

Being an artist influences me because I enjoy painting, on top of learning the various techniques that other artists use to become increasingly better at their craft. An artists' work reflects the way they see themself, virtually like a mirrored image, and they see a reflection of their feelings, behavior, as well as thoughts that they may have had. From my own personal experience, I have painted when feeling resentful, blue, and even delighted; a cluttery painting full of mess when I was resentful; I would paint a gloomy painting if I was blue; but if I was delighted the whole world would be able to interpret that from my paintings, becuse I would paint flowers using vivid colors to reflect my jovial mood. Being an artist helped me feel better. I came to the conclusion that painting not only makes me happy, but other people admiring my paintings incresed my confidence. Tips I've learned to keep in mind when being able to express myself through my paintings is that there are no rules, and do not be dishearted at the "final product." Painting does not have to make sense, clear the mind, keep peace, and imagine.…
