that you do this. Lift weights for sports, say your speech in a mirror, go out in the garage and shoot pucks, whatever you need to do to be better at what you want to do, you have to practice it. Get your friends and go to the courts to play some basketball, just practice what you need to do.
Do a sport that you love- If you are doing dance, and don’t like it, don’t waste your time and resources on it.
Quit it, and try something that you love. It will make you a better athlete, and if people say that you shouldn’t play it because you aren’t good, then just practice, and brush off the haters, and keep going forward. If people say that you don’t have a good shot in hockey, then practice your shot. Just no matter what, do something you love, and it will take you places that you would have never imagined.
Listen to your coaches/parents- This will be hard to do obviously, but they have advice to keep going. Having a bad day, your parents will pick you up, and help you to keep going. Can’t understand a drill or a concept, that’s why coaches are paid, to help you understand things that you need to know to be a better player. If you had a bad game, then both of them will say put it under the rug and keep your head on straight.
Have fun- Yes, sports are competitive and you want to win at all costs, but sports are made to be a pastime, and that means that you have to have fun sometimes. It is to bring your team closer together, to let go of all of the pains of life in an hour or two. This is important in life as well, you need to have fun in life. When you touch the court, or the ice, you need to remember that this sport was made to have fun, and that is what you need to
do.
