Why I Should Be A Lance Morporal

I believe I should be a Lance Corporal because I know that I can lead other cadets as well as ensuring that both I and other cadets are ready to begin their lessons. This is because at detachment I have been getting drums, ear defense and spare bugles, flutes and sticks out of the cupboard every Monday before parade to make sure that we can get straight into lessons without having to mess around finding equipment. I can also take responsibility because I have been starting to teach lessons at detachment, for example teaching new drummers how to play their instruments, and taking parades, as well as taking responsibility for myself by turning up in an ironed kit and polishing my boots before I come into cadets. I have also taken up a responsibility role in the corps of drums by being the bass drummer because my job in that is to provide a tempo for the other instruments to follow to make sure the music plays at the right speed and that everyone can keep in time.
I have also been making sure that people know what they are doing, especially newer recruits who are going to camps for the first time by making sure that they know where they need to be going (for example giving the location of Kimberley Barracks for camps) as well as giving reminders about timings and handing in camp forms and money. I will lead by example, setting the standard for behaviour, readiness to learn and achieve, and by ensuring my kit is up to ACF standards, as well as inspiring other cadets to do the
